The origin of KOYU

The story of KOYU London begins far beyond a brand.

Founder Jacob comes from the world of British Wagyu farming - an industry built around patience, precision, genetics, nutrition, and exceptional quality.

Through years immersed within Wagyu farming and luxury food production, a deeper understanding emerged around the remarkable natural qualities found within Wagyu tallow and the philosophy of respecting every part of the animal.

Inspired by Japanese culture, craftsmanship, and rituals of balance and longevity, KOYU LONDON was born.

Not simply as a brand - but as a modern luxury house built around nature, innovation, and heritage.

The farm

Before the bottle, the herd.

In 2020 the founder started Wortley Wagyu at Cote Green Farm, in the South Yorkshire countryside: a family farm raising Japanese Black cattle, slow grown and grass-fed to maturity. The vodka began with what the family learned there about Wagyu fat: why it is prized, and what it gives.
